Την ίδια στιγμή που εμείς απαξιώνουμε τα 80 χρόνια από την ίδρυση της Ελληνικής Πολεμικής Αεροπορίας οι Τούρκοι ανακοινώνουν πρόγραμμα για τον εορτασμό της εκατονταετηρίδος που θα εορτασθεί τον Ιούνιο του 20011!

100th Anniversary Logo & Motto

The logo and motto of the Turkish Air Force are designated by a competition which was held among TurAF personel.

International Air Show

An International Air Show will be conducted in the 2nd Main Jet Base Command (Çiğli / İzmir) on 04 June 2011 and in Alsancak / Izmir on 05 June 2011. The show will be open to public.

National Air Shows

Air Shows will be conducted in Eskişehir and Diyarbakır to celebrate the anniversaries of the foundation of the 1st Air Force Command and the 2nd Air Force Command.

European Air Chiefs Conference (EURAC-2011)

European Air Chiefs Conference (EURAC) which takes place every year in a different part of Europe will be conducted in Turkey on 01 June 2011.


Global Air Chiefs Conference (GAC-2011)

Turkish Air Force Command will host an International Conference in which Air Commanders from approximately 80 countries will discuss the 21th century air and space developments on 02 June 2011.

Anatolian Eagle Exercise

Anatolian Eagle Exercise will be conducted with broad participation in 3rd Main Jet Base Command, Konya between 13-24 June 2011.


F-16 Solo Display Team

F-16 solo display team presenting the maneuver capability and training level of the Turkish pilots will perform displays within the context of 100th anniversary activities.

Recent Advances in Space Technologies

Turkish Air Force Command will host Recent Advances in Space Technologies (RAST) Conference which will be conducted with the participation of academicians and scientists from all over the world between 09-11 June 2011 in İstanbul.
International History Symposium

International History symposium under the name “Turkish Air Force from Foundation to Today” will be conducted with the participation of academicians and military personel from all over the world between 8-10 February 2011, the anniversary of İstanbul-Kahire flight which was performed with great sacrifices in 1914.Female Officers in TURAF History

NCO's in TURAF History Meeting will be held.



100th Anniversary Afforestation Ceremony

A memorial forest will be planted in Ankara.



IDEF-2011

The main theme of the IDEF-2011 exposition which is planned to be conducted between 10-11 May 2011 in İstanbul will be "The 100th Anniversary of the Turkish Air Force”. An exhibition specifically on the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Air Force will be held on the exposition area.Future Fligh Design Contest

Air Force Academy will host an International Future Flight Design Contest on 12-14 May 2011 in Istanbul.



Model Aircraft Contest

Air Force Command Museum (Etimesgut/Ankara) will hold an international plastic model aircraft contest on 28-29 May 2011.


Painting Contest

A painting contest with the theme Turkish Air Force will be held on primary education, secondary education and undergraduate levels.


Painting Exhibition

An exhibition covering paintings with the themes Atatürk and aviation, and significant dates in TurAF history will be held.


Academic Project Competition

Turkish Air Force Command and TUBITAK will cooperatively hold an academic project competition with the theme military aviation.


100th Anniversary Monument

"100th Anniversary Monument” will be built in İstanbul in memory of the 100th anniversary of TurAF. The opening ceremony will be held on 15 May 2011.


Parade of Historical Uniforms

Uniforms which have appeared throughout Turkish Air Force history will be gathered in a catalogue and presented in a parade on 25 June 2011.


100th Anniversary March

100th Anniversary March will be composed in memory of the 100th anniversary of TurAF.


100th Anniversary Symphony

A symphonic work will be composed in memory of the 100th anniversary of TurAF.


Documentary

A documentary of 6 episodes depicting TURAF History will be made.



Television Programs

Television program of 12 episodes depicting today’s Turkish Air Force will be made.



Introductory Books

Various books serving to introduce the Turkish Air Force, Air Force Academy, Işıklar Air Military High School and NCOs Vocational School will be prepared.


History Books

Various books on TurAF history will be prepared. Some of the themes are: Turkish Air Force history of 100 years, aircraft appeared in the Turkish Air Force inventory, progress of TurAF for a hundred years, Turkish Air Force chronology.
Concerts

Air Force Command Bands and "Eagles of Jazz Orchestra" will give various concerts.


Drama

A drama depicting significant people, events and developments on TURAF history is planned to be put on stage by General Directorate of State Theatres.

Other Artistic Activities

Various artistic activities will take place as well.
